The MagicBlock Questline started as a way to get people exploring real-time apps on Solana. Season 1 ran on Galxe. Season 2 brought it native, with a live leaderboard and partner quests for games and DeFi apps built on Ephemeral Rollups. Both seasons were managed by us. Every quest, every partner, every point allocation went through our team.
Season 3 changes that.
Starting today, any project can join the Questline and set up its own quests directly. And for users, new points you earn are no longer just a rank on a leaderboard. They're spendable.
Permissionless onboarding for projects
The Questline platform is now open to any project building on MagicBlock. Developers create a project profile, set up their quests, and define the actions they want users to complete. The Validation API handles verification automatically when a project has its own endpoints. Points are distributed equally among everyone who completes the quest.
This matters because we've had dozens of projects come through Solana Blitz and our other hackathons who are ready to build their user base from day one. They shouldn't have to wait on us to get listed. The platform now works like a user acquisition layer for the whole ecosystem, not a curated selection we manage manually.
If you're a project building on MagicBlock, go to your profile, click add next to Projects and fill out the form. The team reviews your submission and gets you listed. Once live, the Validation API handles quest completion verification automatically.
Points are now consumable
Every point you earned in Season 1 and Season 2 carries over. Historical points are not going anywhere. They stay on your profile, cementing your place in the rankings and making sure your contributions to the ecosystem are permanently visible. For those at the top, bigger things are coming.
But new points work differently. You can spend them.
Each week, users can take their accumulated XP to the Reward Machine and spend it for a chance at real prizes. Rewards include a Magic Ticket, MagicBlock limited-edition merch, Breakpoint tickets, and more to be added as the ecosystem grows. Every spin is resolved onchain through our Verifiable Random Function, so the outcome is cryptographically provable and publicly verifiable. There are no hidden odds.
We wrote a full breakdown of how VRF works on Solana here if you want the technical details.
The Reward Machine
The Reward Machine is the centerpiece of Season 3. It sits in the Rewards tab of the Questline platform and is where your points become something tangible. Spend your points, watch the machine run, and receive your reward as an NFT. Physical prizes like merch are redeemable through the NFT. Digital prizes are yours immediately. Rewards can also be sold back for USDC at a minor discount.
The Reward Machine runs on the same VRF infrastructure we use across our platform, no external oracles, no off-chain randomness, everything verified onchain end to end.
What the platform looks like now
The rebuilt Questline has three main sections:
Home shows all active quests across every project on the platform. New quests appear here as projects onboard and launch campaigns.
Rewards is the Reward Machine. This is where you spend your XP each week.
Dashboard is your personal view. Active quests, points balance, and your leaderboard rank in one place.
How to get started
If you're already in the Questline, your existing points are there. Connect your wallet and your dashboard will reflect everything you've earned.
If you're new:
- Go to the questline page
- Connect your wallet
- Complete quests from any project on the platform to earn XP
- Come back each week and spend your points in the Reward Machine
The first partner quests are live today with Voble, Dungeon & Moles, Slimecoin, Interstellar Command. More projects will be joining over the coming weeks.
