Welcome to the first monthly recap of 2026 for MagicBlock
January was a massive month for us. We announced the $BLOCK presale, launched the Absolute Sorcery series, shipped a 3-day internal hackathon, and started publishing our deepest technical content yet. Our wizards also showed up big time, and the community challenges reflect it.
Here is everything you might've missed 👇
Introducing the MagicBlock Presale

The presale is happening on Feb 5th on presale.magicblock.app, and whitelisted members get a 24h head start. All the relevant information is on the page.

6 Innovations + Magic Tech Series

We published an overview of the 6 innovations that make MagicBlock the real-time engine for Solana: JIT Cloning, Colocation, Plugins, Magic Router, Magic Actions, and PERs.
Then we kicked off the Magic Tech Series, a 6-part blog series digging deeper into each one.
Two articles published in January:
#1: JIT State Cloning
#2: Dynamic Colocation
More coming soon on our X and Blog
Native Crank for Ephemeral Rollups

We introduced native crank for Ephemeral Rollups on Solana. Blockchains don't have native scheduling, so if you wanted game loops, auction countdowns, or auto-compounding vaults, you'd need offchain infra like Heroku or Lambda to trigger your own program.
Not anymore. Our cranks let you automate onchain instructions at set intervals with 50ms execution, zero transaction fees, and full SVM cryptographic guarantees.
We also released Cooking with MagicBlock: Episode 6, a step-by-step tutorial showing developers how to schedule onchain actions on Solana using cranks on Ephemeral Rollups.

Absolute Sorcery Threads

We launched the Absolute Sorcery series, a deep dive into the projects building real-time applications on Solana with MagicBlock.
Seven partners were featured across the month:
- Archer Exchange — A fully onchain spot exchange with no simulated quotes, just real execution. Recently invited into Colosseum's 4th accelerator cohort.
- BananaZone — Predict the price of $SOL in 5-second rounds and multiply your money by up to 6x, fully onchain.
- DOLERO — A 1v1 card game inspired by Blackjack with real onchain wagers, powered by MagicBlock's VRF.
- Rush Trade — Gamified crypto trading with 1000x leverage, 10-second positions, and one tap.
- Loyal — A fully private AI assistant for Telegram with verifiable privacy, built with Private Ephemeral Rollups.
- Bloxwap — Tap-to-trade with 10,000x leverage. No order books, no limit orders. Just you, a price, and a tap.
- Vorld — Interactive livestreaming where viewers drop items, spawn enemies, and trigger live events. Every action is an onchain micropayment.
Internal Hackathon

The MagicBlock team ran a 3-day internal hackathon to push the boundaries of what's possible with Ephemeral Rollups.
